Free for iPhone and Android

Swipe your camera roll clean.

SwipeClean shows your photos one at a time. Swipe right to keep, left to discard, then free up space in one tap. Nothing leaves your phone.

Free, no account, no in-app purchases. Supported by ads.

SwipeClean's swipe screen: a photo of mountains being swiped right with a green KEEP stamp, the counter reading 1 photo marked, 2.1 MB to free, above Discard, Undo and Keep buttons.

Declutter in minutes, not hours

Deciding photo by photo is quick and oddly satisfying. SwipeClean keeps it safe: nothing is removed until you say so.

Swipe to decide

Right to keep, left to discard, with buttons if you prefer tapping. Each card shows the date and file size.

A review bin, not instant delete

Discarded photos wait in the bin. Tap any of them to restore it, or delete them all at once with your phone's confirmation.

Undo anytime

Changed your mind? Undo brings back the last card, and nothing in the bin is final until you confirm.

Private by design

Your photos are processed on your phone only. No uploads, no account, no cloud.

See your progress

Track photos reviewed, photos deleted, storage freed and your daily streak.

Tips to stay tidy

Short, practical tips, like clearing screenshots weekly and trimming burst shots, in the Progress tab.

A look inside the app

Real screens from SwipeClean, shown with sample pictures. It follows your phone's light or dark mode, and so does this page.

How it works

  1. Allow photo access

SwipeClean asks for access to your library so it can show your photos, newest first. You can share only selected photos if you like.

  2. Swipe through

Keep what matters, discard the rest. Discarded photos go to the review bin; nothing is deleted yet.

  3. Free up space

Open the bin, restore anything you want to keep, then tap Delete all and confirm in your phone's dialog.

Your photos never leave your phone

  • Photos are read and deleted on your device only. They are never uploaded or shared.
  • SwipeClean is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads never see your photos.
  • In the EU, UK and Switzerland you choose whether ads are personalized, and you can change it anytime.

Questions

Is SwipeClean really free?

Yes. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase. The app is supported by ads and by clearly labeled partner offers.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens on your phone. SwipeClean has no account and no server that receives your photos.

When is a photo actually deleted?

Only when you tap Delete all in the review bin and confirm the system dialog that iOS or Android shows. Swiping left just moves a photo to the bin.

Where do deleted photos go?

On iPhone they move to the Recently Deleted album for 30 days; empty it to reclaim the space right away. On Android 11 and newer, photos you confirm are deleted from the device.

What are the "Sponsored" and "Partner" posts?

Some posts and cards are offers from partners, always labeled. Tapping one opens the partner's site; we may earn a commission at no cost to you. You can skip them anytime.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstall the app. Everything SwipeClean stores (your stats and the list of photos you kept or binned) lives only on your device and is removed with it.
